Birdhouse Mounting Instructions

French Cleat Hanging Instructions: for wall or fence
Remove the two Phillips head screws from the lower portion of the diamond shaped French cleat on the back of the house. (Photo 1)

• Remove the top screw through the decorative ball on the strip below the diamond on the back. Twist the wood strip down to hang below the bottom on the house. Move the decorative ball to opposite side so it will be on the front side of the strip instead of the back. Put the screw in just far enough to hold it in place. (Photo 2)
• Screw the bottom part of the diamond to the surface where you will mount the house. Be sure the unfinished part that was against the house faces out. Be sure the top is level. (Photo 3)
• Place the house on bottom part of the hanging diamond. Make sure it is sitting straight.
• Secure it in place with the screw through the decorative ball on the wood strip hanging below the house. (Photo 4)

 
Mounting Block Instructions: for top of post, stump, railing, etc.

• Remove the screws on the bottom sides of the house, a total of three. 
• Lift the house off the mounting block. (Photo 5)
• There may be a foam block inside that is the platform for the bird to build the house.
• You will see two predrilled holes in the block with two screws taped to the block for mounting. 
• Place the block on the surface where you will mount the house and screw it down with the screws provided. Pay attention to the markings on the block. 
• Set the house on block and screw the side screws back in. 

 
Cleaning:

• Remove the screws on the bottom sides of the house, a total of three. 
• Lift the house off the mounting block. 
• There may be a foam block inside that is the platform for the bird to build the house.

• Remove the old nest and reassemble.
